Main Idea: What if you found a simple framework that explains to you why you do what you do? If you found this framework, do you think it would help you in getting the results you want in life? Well, this is that framework. You will not only learn why you do what you do, but how to also break that vicious cycle of sinning and repenting.

1 What is every action driven by? Romans 1:17
Note: Every action is belief-driven. Everything we say or do has its origin in some kind of belief we have in every area of our lives.

2 How do our beliefs affect what we can or cannot be/do? Matthew 9:29
Note: There are only two kinds of beliefs we can have. Limiting Beliefs or Liberating truths. One is based on scarcity or falsehood and the other is based on abundance or truth.

3 What is every belief made up of? Romans 10:17
Note: Words change our faith; Our belief. If you want to change your beliefs, you need to change the words you listen to. Satan likes to whisper beliefs based on falsity but God’s word is based on truth. Which words are you going to listen to?

4 How do our beliefs and thoughts determine our emotions? Proverbs 23:7
Note: Wherever our thoughts, beliefs, or focus is, impacts how we act and which Behaviors we adopt. This creates our habits and our routines which creates our identity and gives us the results and emotions we see in our lives (See Proverbs 15:23).

5 How are we able to align our feelings with our faith? Acts 17:27
Note: Our feelings follow our focus. When we put our focus on the Lord and the truths in His Word, we will have the right feelings and emotions.

6 What can we compare the words that we tell others and ourselves too? Luke 8:11
Note: Every word we speak is a seed. The emotions are a fruit. Words have an emotional charge to them. Eg: “Are you sure about that?”, “I don’t think that’s right.”, “You’re wrong!”, “YOU ARE A LIAR!”. Different words have different levels of intensity or degrees of emotional intensity. If you find yourself saying like I did “I am afraid to meet new people”, You can ask yourself, What do I love about meeting new people? What Could I love about meeting new people? Do you have to or do you get to?

7 Where should we go to find out the reason why we have certain limiting beliefs? Romans 11:16

8 What two things combined make up the moral character? Hebrews 8:10
Note: Your Thoughts (Mind) and your Feelings (Heart) make up who you are. This is why God didn’t just write His law in our minds, but also in our hearts. It doesn’t matter if we keep God’s precepts if we do it because we HAVE to because our heart is not in it.

9 What happens when we don’t get to the root of our limiting beliefs and refuse to accept beliefs based on truth? 2 Thessalonians 2:10-11

10 In the end, what will the final battle in our personal lives be over? 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (opens in new tab due to long verse)
Note: If the final battle will be over our thoughts and mind, shouldn’t we be learning now to train our minds to lean towards the liberating truths found in God’s word? If our thoughts are right, our feelings will be right. You can have the freedom from the vicious cycle if we truly put our faith in God’s truth.

In Light of God’s Word…

Is it your desire to leave your limiting beliefs that continually lead you to sin and instead, grasp the Liberating truths God has especially for you?

Is it your decision to train your mind to stop listening to satan’s lies and overcome evil with the good of God’s promises?
