Introduction: In our previous lesson, we learned about the divine laws that, if kept, produce abundance; or if broken, would create poverty as a rule. In today’s training, we’re going to be diving into God’s word and we’re going to be understanding what the biblical laws regarding selling are. Not being aware of what these laws are, can dramatically affect the freedom that we have, or the bondage and the limitations of our life.

1 If God has given you something that could bless others, what does He want you to do with it? Proverbs 11:26
Note: The Bible says if we have something that could bless others we have a moral obligation to sell it to as many people as we possibly can. The Law of Investment is a divine law that says all blessings come at some cost to the receiver.

2 What is your #1 greatest asset you can invest in? Proverbs 3:13-17 (opens in new tab due to long verse)
Note: I would submit to you that your number one greatest asset that you can invest in is your mind. It is investing in wisdom and the word. We see in Daniel one, in the story of the three Hebrews, they were skillful in all wisdom, wisdom includes skills. So the thing to invest in, especially early on in your journey in your life, is to invest invaluable skills. The poor, love to sell their time, so they can get money, whereas the wise are building an asset, an income-producing asset. They’re building systems that will be able to generate income for them, even while they’re not actively trading their time for money. They are investing in skills, experiences, in environments, and in projects, that the process of building will develop skills that will be able to pay them a return on investment for eternity.

3 How does investing in our greatest asset help us live out the instruction given in Philippians 2:4-5?
Note: Your thoughts and your feelings combined, which make up the moral character is the greatest asset you have to invest in. And while we are investing in our mind, through gospel entrepreneurship, we learn to become servants looking unto the things of others. Bringing heavenly solutions to earthly problems. Investing in your mind and having the mind of Christ is the one thing that you have throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity. Your mind is the greatest asset you have in life, in business, in your family, and in your finances. Here we’re looking at the law of faith. The law of faith is a law of selling. The law of faith shows that your bank account is a direct reflection of the beliefs you have about money & the beliefs you have about selling. The Law of Faith also states you will never earn more than whatever you think is a lot of money. And so if you think that selling is something you do to someone, you’re not going to want to do it. But I would submit to you selling is something you do for someone.

4 According to the Law of Order, what is God’s method for you to get what you want in life? 2 Kings 4:7
Note: Does the woman in this verse want to pay off her debts? Does she want to financially transform her situation so she could put her family on a secure basis? Yes. In order to do this, there is an order that the man of God lays out. We’re looking at the law of order as it relates to selling & as it relates to your financial freedom to live the lifestyle of evangelism. By violating God’s financial law of order it will lead to financial bondage which holds you back from fulfilling your calling, and the resources to equip you to serve as the capacity that God has called you to. What was this process to help the woman? 1. Sell the oil, 2. pay the debt, and 3. live. We’re looking at the law of order. Now, did God say go give away all your treasure? No, he said, Go sell it. What if God is showing you that by starting a business and creating something of value to other people, and being able to sell to them, you will be able to buy the things that you desire to buy? This is the biblical law of order as it relates to selling.

5 What is God’s plan for creating true wealth in your life? Matthew 25:27
Note: What is God desirous for us to do with His entrusted talent of money? Exchange it for profit. “Put God’s money to the exchangers.” How do we do this? By being a missionary to the marketplace and exchanging. In this verse, we find the Law of Exchange. Did you know that exchanging is actually a divine law of selling? Did you know The law of Exchange is a law of creating wealth that God has intertwined all throughout the scriptures? What is this parable in Matthew 25 talking about? The 10 talents God gives to every man (Matthew 25:15). God has given you talents and He does not want you to just give away your talents for free. I believe that God has given you talents so that you can financially support yourself in Christ’s service. You can’t name a single business, a single job, a single occupation, or any product that does not involve your using your talent in exchange for money. Your talent is what God has given to you to financially support yourself in service to God and man.

6 How does the Lord regard the man who is faithful with the talent of money and leaves an inheritance for his children? Proverbs 13:22
Note: If I want to be a good man, the Bible says that I should leave an inheritance for my children and my grandchildren. When I say wealth, I mean True Wealth such as having a wealth of relationships, wealth of knowledge, wealth of skills, wealth of experiences, wealth of health, etc. If you want the True Wealth that God speaks of then we need to learn how to be faithful stewards with the talents the Lord has given us and put it to the exchangers. This is how we create true wealth.

7 What is the Biblical secret to having an abundance of buyers lining up to pay you for your T.A.L.E.N.T.? Proverbs 11:24-25
Note: If you’re getting started in business, you might be wondering who would buy this? How would I find the people who would be interested in what I have to offer? Here we see this verse revealing to us the law of imparting. Here Solomon is teaching a principle of wealth and abundance and increase That if you’re not paying attention, you might miss. He’s showing you what creates poverty as a rule; cause and effect. There are warnings against poverty and one of those warnings of poverty is that there is that which holdeth more than is meets, but it tended to poverty. It’s withholding, being unwilling to impart of our wealth; the finances of what we have. And the contrast is, there is that scattereth and yet increases. So by actually buying, giving willing to impart of your finances, you are able to increase. That might seem counterintuitive, but the law of imparting states Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. The secret to having an abundance of buyers who are lining up ready to pay you for your talents is to become a buyer. You do not attract who you want; you attract who you are. If you want to have the buyers who are excited and love paying you for what you have to provide, become someone who genuinely loves to pay others for the service and value that they provide to you.

8 Is the concept of selling something we should be wary of doing? Proverbs 31:18
Note: The whole idea that by selling we are doing something to someone is a satanic view. This is a limiting belief that is violating the law of exchange. In a free will market, when people have the freedom to choose what they’re exchanging, they are saying that what you have is more valuable than what they have. And by exchanging, each person has more than before. By making the mistake of thinking selling is something you’re doing to someone, it costs you your freedom. Do you realize that the very act of creating wealth is philanthropic of its nature? Philanthropy is doing good. It’s supporting, it’s helping others; it’s serving people. It’s like a ministry. In order for you to create wealth, you have to find buyers who you are creating value for. In order to create wealth, you have to have a team; and in order to pay for that team, you are selling and creating jobs. You’re financially supporting heads of families, and helping them support their families.

9 Is the kingdom of Heaven involved in the divine order of selling? Matthew 13:45
Note: What is a merchantman? He’s a salesman. And “he’s seeking goodly pearls. Who when he found one pearl of great price,” what did he do? “He went and sold all that he had and bought it.” So the Biblical secret to getting what you want, according to Scripture, is to sell what you have, then buy what you want. Multiple times in the book of Matthew, Jesus says, The kingdom of heaven is like a business. Jesus often in His parables, uses business as a symbol and a representation to illustrate to us spiritual, eternal, and heavenly principles. Selling is a good idea because selling is a God idea. It is actually violating the biblical law of order for us only to be buying. What happens if you’re buying and you don’t sell? How are you going to be able to continue to buy if you are not selling? It’s going to be harder for you to pay your bills, take care of your family and travel and go where God wants you to be. It’s going to be harder to buy that property & that home where you believe God is calling you to live. It’s going to be harder to pay your expenses to support your message. If you have a message to give to the world, then it takes money to get that message out to the world. It’s not against God’s will to sell.
