1 What is the secret to mastering anything? 1 Corinthians 9:25
Note: The secret to mastery is Temperance, but, what is true temperance? To avoid entirely everything hurtful, and to use moderately that which is good.

2 What are some ways you can practice to win the mastery? Hebrews 12:1
Note: We are living in day and age where many things are competing for our attention. First thing in the morning, many of us go to grab our phones and we start reacting to a lot of other people’s demands. A lot of times it keeps us from hearing the voice of God. It creates a lack of focus and understanding of what God would have us do individually.

3 Should you treat every area that needs improvement in your life with the same urgency? 1 Corinthians 10:23

4 How does the Lord want you to prioritize those things that matter most? Philippians 3:13
Note: forget those things that are behind – prioritize the goals that you are looking forward to setting and don’t get discouraged by the failures you’ve made in the past.

5 What should you ask the Lord to do in you, to help you fix the area(s) you are weak in? Psalm 139:23-24
Note: Ask the Lord to help you get to the root of your foundational issue in each area of your life, and ask for wisdom in how to address it.

6 Should you try to improve the areas in your life simultaneously? 1 Corinthians 14:40
Note: In order to do things well you must study one thing at a time, decently and in order. If we look at nature, we can also see that every plant follows this rule; such as corn and wheat. first the blade then the ear then the full corn in the ear. (Mark 4:28) There are stages to perfection.

7 What has God given you that will help in obtaining the divine nature in all the things that pertain to life and godliness? 2 Peter 1:3-4

8 Once you have clarity in the one foundational issue and on what you should do, what does the Bible say will happen? Proverbs 4:18

9 Who in the bible is an example of why many of us don’t get to the foundational issue in life that is hindering us from reaching our desired goals? Luke 10:38-42
Note: Some of us might get into unintentional consumption, or others unintentional working when we are procrastinating the one foundational issue. Have you ever found yourself trying to keep yourself so busy to avoid the thing that you have procrastinated so long? These are indications that you are being like Martha. We need to be a perfect blend of Mary and Martha.

10 When you don’t address the foundational issues in the weak areas of your life, what effect will it have on you? 1 Chronicles 15:13
